Graham and Margaret Brown who visited us from NSW in 2007 sent this email 2009:
Greetings to you and the Rotary Club of Lincoln Colonia from the Rotary Club of Corowa, NSW Australia.
This is just a note to let you know that your Club was the subject of our International Toast at our last Club meeting.
I looked up your website and was able to provide our Club with interesting details of your famous Santa Fun Run, the visit from Bassaro Castelli RC and your planned reciprocal 'scatter' visit.
I recalled to the Club how, when we visited your Club in August '07, the White Hart Inn was undergoing refurbishment and we had an enjoyable social evening of ten pin bowls instead.
Please pass on our greetings to Roger, Sally, Mark, Jill, June, Chloe, Pam and Des and all other Club members whom we may have met that night.
Yours in Rotary Fellowship, PP Graham and Rtn Margaret Brown, for, President David Talbot, Rotary Club of Corowa.

Friday 5th June 2009: Italian job: "Gondolier Peter Harrold takes Rachel Hanson for gondola ride".(Practice for later!).

Matt's Fund - 2008:
Extract from email from Bob Boulton Chairman of Matt's Fund:
May I say thank you for allowing Prof Patel and myself make the presentation to your members on the 25th November and the fantastic donation you made to our fund.
I know the Professor appreciated the opportunity, enjoying the experience, the hospitality and welcome showed by all. From his first consultation with Matthew we developed a confidence and trust in him and we are very pleased to be supporting his research work so ultimately many other young people will benefit.
We hope you found it interesting and informative, clearly we have a long way to go but each pound raised slightly lowers the height of the hurdle in front of us.
Please pass on our thanks to your members...

Nepal Trust
Presentation 16th September 2008. Guests included the Mayor Councillor Ron Hills, Ceris Jones C.E.O. and Tony Robinson F.D. of the Nepal Trust who gave the presentation. The purpose of this presentation was to bring the other Lincoln clubs onside with the Nepal project. The Nepal Trust is based in Edinburgh, so this was an opportunity to find out more. See full details and videos on the website.
Update October, 2009 from John Roddam: Further to the news that our joint matching grant had been accepted I am pleased to tell you that all the papers have been submitted to R.I. Foundation and we now await news that the money is on its way to The Nepal Trust via ourselves. (The Sausage Festival and Ball, 25th October, 2008, raised funds towards the hydroelectric project for the above cause).
